A few thoughts about the Journey
First here are four thoughts to consider before you set out on the Journey
Plan your Journey
The Journey is a series of steps which don’t have to be completed in any specific order.
There are some suggested routes below along with an introduction to the journey at the bottom of this page.
Some will not need to do all of the steps to complete the journey,
while others may do all the steps and never complete.
This is just the start of an ongoing Journey and there will be
more steps added here you can take so you can complete your own journey.

Introducing the Journey
Where we usually are at the start of the journey
There are some things about life we just seem oblivious to, yet they are vital to understand and embrace if we are to make the most of our lives. Most of these things we tend to have formed some pre-determined or fixed ideas about, so we never find out what the real truth is, and so miss out on all the benefits. Some of these things, once truly understood, can make such a difference you will never be the same again
Initial reactions don’t always result in our best choices
First a recent analogy from my life which will help explain how easy it is to dismiss the right answer as not being the right one. I recently developed a problem with my legs which was getting progressively worse.
If someone had come up to me right away and told me that the answer to my problem is that I have to go on a Vegan diet and start exercising daily. I would have probably told them I really can’t do that, there must be another answer. I would have most likely ignored what they had said and gone off to look for a more “acceptable” solution. In doing so I would have walked away from the best answer to my problem.
The answer to the problem was to go on a healthy Vegan diet and to start exercising daily. It took a lot of research so I could understand and accept that this was the right answer.
Well I really didn’t want to do all that!! My current diet consisted mainly of microwave meals and other convenience foods. The thought of doing exercise every day was even worse. Going for a run or attending a gym was a rather horrific thought to me.
However having discovered this was the right way to go, I now had to figure a way of building this into my life. I decided to embrace the new found answer to my leg issue. I changed my diet to Vegan and bought a new mountain bike. After a few weeks the symptoms in my legs have virtually all gone and both the diet and exercise have made such a difference to my life.
So….
If I was told this was the answer to my problems right away would I have accepted that? NO
Was it easy to make the changes to diet and exercise? NO
Did it cost me to make the changes? YES in time, money and frustration.
Was there a better solution? NO
Did it make a difference to my life and health? YES
Was it worth it? YES Absolutely.
For someone who hates exercise and ate mostly convenience food did the changes fit into my lifestyle? YES and now has become a completely normal part of my routine.
Will it always be easy to stick with this new routine? NO NOT ALWAYS
Will the problem and symptoms come back if I walk away from this answer? YES Most likely
A Journey of many steps begins here, perhaps from seeming foolishness but ending in infinite wisdom…
Most of the stuff to be presented here you will probably not like, at least not at first. There will be similar reactions to how I could have reacted to my Vegan / Exercise solution. Something along the lines of:
I can’t do that, it’s not for me, I can’t believe that, that’s nonsense, it doesn’t make sense, it doesn’t seem right, it is too good to be true, I don’t agree with that, goes against everything I have been taught etc
The journey is to find the things, which without realising it, you have been searching for all of your life. You are hard-wired from birth to search for this but our life in this world makes it almost invisible and impossible to find or it will seem like nonsense to you. When you come to understand and accept that this truth about life is real and for you, then it will help you make sense of everything.
So I ask you to please, look beyond your initial reaction, look a little deeper, do the research, find the truth then it will change both you and your life forever. This is the most precious thing you will ever find.
To quote an old book which says, “You shall know the truth and the truth will set you free”, first you have to find this truth about life which is the subject of our journey.
